Health In All Policies/Built Environment Committee

The Health in All Policies Committee aims to inspire systems-level change to create local environments that are conducive to health and well-being. Potential policy areas of focus include: improving access to healthy food; universal design standards for senior housing; neighborhood walkability and safety; contributing public health principles to city and county general plan updates, and smoke-free spaces.  During our meetings and gatherings, specific topic(s) are prioritized based on group input. The most impactful strategies will be implemented to reach the goal of our Committee—health in all policies. We welcome new members (e.g. community residents, local officials, agency representatives, etc.) interested in adding health aspects to their policies.
