VibeSolano and its partners are busy this month and we invite you to join us! We’re using TV, radio, mall, and movie theater ads to remind adults not to provide alcohol to anyone under 21. We completed 2 healthy store makeovers in Vallejo and Suisun City, bringing the total to 7 stores. And, we trained 17 new coaches during our Healthier Living Coach class in June.
Alcohol Media Campaign
Do you know that drinking alcohol during adolescence can negatively affect brain development? During this summer party season, Solano Public Health, VibeSolano, and our community partners are encouraging parents to talk to their children early about how drinking can harm them. Healthy Store Makeover for Vallejo
Saturday, June 10th—Bourbon House on 641 Broadway in Vallejo will increase healthy options for the community! Local volunteers, headed by Fighting Back Partnership and Vallejo Together will provide a “makeover” for the store and bring fresh produce and some “Good Choice” products to the front of the store! A celebration event will be held on Friday, June 16.
Everyone is invited to celebrate the changes on Friday, June 16th from 3pm-6pm with music, free samples, and tasty food demonstrations so join us!

Healthy Store Makeover for Suisun CIty
The healthy store makeover for Port of Call, 715 Main Street in Suisun City will be held on Saturday, June 17th! Local Suisun residents are excited to see the new products and changes. Our local community partners and volunteers will help the store get a “makeover” on Saturday! Fresh produce and healthy items will be placed at the front of the stores to help the community shop and live well. The celebration will be held on Friday, June 23rd.
